Research & IRB
Early feasibility and ethics framing.
Purpose
Axio Recovery is developed as part of Cornell DEBUT. The system is intended for early feasibility work: validating sensor integration, torque estimation, and usability in controlled settings. We do not claim clinical or performance outcomes.
Ethics and compliance
Any study involving human participants should be reviewed and approved by an institutional review board (IRB) or equivalent. Investigators are responsible for obtaining appropriate approvals and informed consent. Axio Recovery is not a medical device; it is for research and training insight only.
Data and privacy
The software access model emphasizes minimal data footprint: no PHI is collected or stored, and this system will store NO data. Session data may be handled locally by the investigator according to their protocol and institutional requirements.
