Product
Hardware and metrics built for recovery and training insight.
The device
Axio Recovery runs on a wearable hub (e.g., SparkFun ESP32 Thing Plus) that reads surface EMG from up to four channels and orientation and motion from four inertial measurement units (IMUs). Data is streamed over Bluetooth Low Energy or USB serial to a local dashboard, where torque and motion are estimated in real time.
Sensors & metrics
Surface EMG (sEMG)
Raw or processed muscle activation from electrodes on the skin; used as input for torque estimation.
IMUs
Accelerometer and gyroscope data from four units for limb segment orientation and motion.
Elbow torque
Estimated torque at the elbow derived from sEMG and optional IMU data, displayed in real time.
Streaming
BLE notifications or serial CSV at a fixed rate; no cloud upload, no persistent storage.
Who it's for
Researchers and clinicians running feasibility or pilot studies around elbow load and recovery; athletes and coaches who want objective feedback during rehab or training. Access is gated by invite key. The system is not a medical device and does not store PHI.
